Every woodworker needs a cross-cut and is likely to be one of the first jigs you will make. This video tutorial covers the building of my cross cut sled. I designed it with removable inserts for making dado and regular cuts using a single sled. The base is make from 1/2″ MDF which has been laminated on top. The fence is made from three pieces of 1/2″ MDF and then it was also laminated for durability.
